One the verses that is explained incorrectly by Wahhabites, and based on this wrong understanding accuse other Muslims of polytheism is the verse «verily those whom ye call upon besides Allah are servants similar to you «. The present writing tries to dispel the doubts casted on the verse. In doing so we analyze the different meaning of “calling upon (pray)” and also clarify the concept of “besides Allah” and “worship”. In contrary to the claim of Wahhabites, mere requesting from the prophets and the righteous is not an act of worshipping; hence, it cannot be regarded as polytheism in worshipping; the foundation of Wahhabites ideology regarding this issue is very shaky.
