A comparative study between the views of al-Qurtubi and Wahhabism in Divine Monotheism

One of the prominent Sunni commentators and scholars is Qurtubi. In his books, especially in Tafsir Al-Jame, he has made many references to the views of Salaf, this has caused that Salafists refer to his works, and pretend that Wahhabis tend to their ideology. They claim that our difference with Wahhabism in trivial matters, for example, in Divine Monotheism. While, if we have a quick comparison between the views of Wahhabism and Qurtubi, we will know that there is a big difference between them, especially in Divine Monotheism. According to Qurtubi, the pagans at the time of the Holy prophet did not believe in Divine Monotheism, while the Wahhabism believe the opposite. And also Qurtubi believe that supplication and seeking bless from the dead is permissible, just opposite the Wahhabism.
