Abstract
Wahhabi historians have divided the history of Najd into two periods: before and after Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab. They always picture Najd before Wahhabism as full of polytheism and Shirk, and picture Najd after Wahhabism as bright and monotheistic. In this essay, the Wahhabi narrative from Najd will be explained. It seems that this narrative is historical but if we have a closer look, we will see that it is ideological and related to monotheism and Shirk. So, care must be taken that their methodology is not historical. For doing so, we will analyze this issue in a descriptive-analytic method in two aspects: considering the historical situations, and pondering in factors that the Wahhabis ruled according to them. All the evidences show that this Wahhabi narrative on Najd is ideological and not historical.
