Journal Article Tawassul has long occupied a significant position in Islamic tradition. However, since the emergence of the Wahhabi movement, both the scope and the manner of this practice, particularly tawassul through the status (jāh), rank (maqām), and right (ḥaqq) of God's saints, have become subjects of intense theological controversy. Employing an analytical-comparative approach, this study examines the perspectives of Wahhabism and the Shāfiʿī school, one of the major Sunni schools of Islamic jurisprudence, regarding this form of tawassul. The article seeks to clarify the viewpoints and underlying evidential foundations of both sides while identifying their points of convergence and divergence. The findings indicate that the two perspectives fundamentally differ in their approach to scriptural texts and their juridical conclusions. Wahhabi scholars, by invoking the principle that acts of worship are strictly determined by divine revelation (tawqīfiyyah al-ʿibādāt) and by reinterpreting the relevant scriptural evidence, regard this form of tawassul as an innovation (bidʿah) and a potential precursor to polytheism (shirk). In contrast, the Shāfiʿī school, relying on the Qur'an, the Prophetic Sunnah, and the established practice of the early Muslim generations, considers it a legitimate practice deeply rooted in the authentic Islamic tradition<span dir="RTL" lang="FA">.</span> <span lang="FA">توسل به اولیای الهی از جایگاه والایی میان مسلمانان برخوردار است؛ بااین‌حال، از زمان ظهور جریان فکری وهابیت، شیوه و گسترۀ این عمل، به‌ویژه درخصوص توسل به جاه، مقام و حق اولیای الهی، به یکی از مسائل مناقشه‌برانگیز تبدیل شده است. پژوهش حاضر با روش تحلیلی-تطبیقی، به بررسی دیدگاه وهابیت و مذهب شافعیه، به‌عنوان یکی از مذاهب فقهی اهل‌سنت، دربارۀ این نوع توسل می‌پردازد. مقالۀ حاضر در پی آن است که ضمن تبیین دیدگاه‌ها و مبانی استدلالی دو طرف، نقاط اشتراک و افتراق میان آن‌ها را آشکار سازد. این دو دیدگاه در روش مواجهه با نص و نتیجه‌گیری فقهی با یکدیگر در تقابل کامل قرار دارند؛ وهابیان با سوءاستفاده از اصل «توقیفی بودن عبادات» و با توجیه و تأویل نصوص وارده این نوع از توسلات را بدعت و مقدمه شرک می‌دانند؛ درحالی‌که شافعیه با استناد به قرآن، سنت و سیرۀ پیشینیان، آن را عملی مشروع و ریشه‌دار در سنت اصیل اسلامی ارزیابی می‌کنند.</span> https://serajemonir.darolelam.ir/article_247278_9ceea0f8c19d50d4ce7a6ad45d860d54.pdf
